Olde English Baby Doll Sheep

In 1986 Robert Mock began a search for the original Southdown Sheep. He was able to locate five unrelated flock from around the world and from this has brought back the breed with all it’s charming characteristics.

They are gentle, quiet, small sheep and don’t require a large pasture. They have strong flocking instincts and are not wanderers. They do not bother fences or attempt to jump them. Neither sex has horns and the rams are not aggressive. Ewes lamb without a great deal of difficulty. They have attractive “Teddy Bear” faces and make very gentle pets, ideal companions for children, the handicapped, and older folks who do not want to deal with large stock but don’t want to be without sheep. The miniature animal enthusiast regards them as collectors items. They are lovely little lawn prnaments that mow and fertilize at the same time. They are under 24 inches at the shoulder and come in all shades from white to brown to black and the rare spotted sheep. They are the perfect animal for Farm Tax Assessment and they are considered nature’s best organic weeders.
Our sheep are registered, micro chipped and enrolled in the NJ Scrapie program. We are taking deposits for 2008 lambs. Older breeding rams for sale.
